Meet the Brew Crew!

Great Raft Brewing is dedicated to making creative, authentic beer and helping to build a great beer culture within communities it serves. How do we make such amazing beer? Through the extremely hard work of our awesome team of brewers! We wanted to take a minute to introduce you to the guys that makes Great Raft so special.

Our Head Brewer, Zak Strezo, has been with Great Raft for 6 years. Zak joined us as a beertender in the Tasting Room before transitioning to the cellar and worked his way up through the ranks, eventually becoming our Quality Control Lead. Now in his new role as Head Brewer, Zak will have a hand in every single beer that goes out the door of the brewery. Whether he’s working on new recipes, perfecting old favorites, or keeping the brew deck running smoothly, he’s dedicated to making our beer the best it can be.

Bailey Rowe is our new Innovation and Quality Control Lead. He’s been here nearly 3 years and makes sure every beer we brew lives up to its fullest potential. Bailey ensures each beer is fit for packaging and tests the quality of every single batch. He also works hard to keep us up-to-date on the newest innovations in the beer world, researching new hop varietals and brewing techniques.

The newest member of our brew team is Matt Sanders. After a year-and-a-half as a member of our cellar team, Matt was recently promoted to Brewer. Prior to taking on his new responsibilities, Matt was already heavily involved in learning the ropes and was one of the creators of our hugely popular KanPai Style! Japanese rice lager. He’s jumped into his new role with both feet and we’re glad to have him.
