GREAT RAFT BREWING LAUNCHES SUPPORT SHREVEPORT PASSPORT
LOCAL SHOPPING INITIATIVE AIMS TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO SMALL BUSINESSES
Like so many ideas these days, this initiative was born on social media. Shreveport super-supporter Amy Quinn implored local residents to plan to support local businesses by shopping at local stores, ordering take-out dining, and using curbside pickup once the weather subsides. She called on her friends and area business owners to develop a plan to help give our local businesses a much needed boost during these difficult times. The crew here at Great Raft can’t resist a way to help our neighbors, so we picked up the baton and ran with it, inviting 30 small business owners to sign on for a local shopping initiative running through March 7.
“Amy and her husband Bill McGill are the biggest supporters of local business that we know,” said Lindsay Nations, co-founder and Vice President of Great Raft Brewing. “They are the first to buy tickets to events, to support local artists, and to leave a big tip for waitstaff. They love Shreveport and the businesses that make our area special, and we wanted to help make it easy for people to get out and push some money into the local economy.”
Starting now, the Support Shreveport Passport will be available at participating local businesses and to download from GreatRaftBrewing.com/passport. Shoppers will receive a stamp from each business where they make a purchase through the end of the week. Each stamp on the passport will earn shoppers one entry into a drawing for a chance to win one of the following prize packages:
- A gift certificate from every participating business,
- A 2-night stay at Fairfield Place Bed & Breakfast (provided by John Cariere),
- A year’s supply of Rhino Coffee (one bag per month, delivered),
- A “Shreveport Staycation” package provided by the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau including a 1-night stay at Sam’s Town, 2 tickets to the Shreveport Aquarium, and a restaurant gift card,
- A one-night stay at Logan Mansion, a bottle of wine/champagne and hot breakfast or a private tea party for up to six individuals.
Completed passports can be dropped off at Great Raft Brewing through Saturday, March 6 during our regular hours of operation, or emailed to email@example.com by 11:59 pm CT on March 7 to enter. Winners will be announced by Great Raft Brewing on March 9.
